The Brief
We were asked to design and produce exceptionally simple stairs in keeping with the uncluttered and open feeling of the interior design of the property. A seemingly 'floating' feeling of the stairs was a specific requirement from the client.
Design & Materials
Although it looks simple in the design, all the treads are highly engineered with hardened steel rods and strategically placed tongues with particular attention to grain direction to improve strength, stability and longevity. Character grade oak was used and sanded across the grain to generate a required rustic look and feel.
End product
A modern and uncluttered property now has a staircase to compliment it...as required.
