The theme of these stairs was required to be clean cut and simple to help generate an 'airy' feel in a place where natural light was less prominant.
The stairs were to sit in a hallway located below ground level therefore the presence of natural light was fairly scarce. The eventual design incorprated a number of different materials to ensure any light that was around was not blocked by the stairs. We achieved this by using open risers with glass infill panels. Brushed stainless steel supports and prime oak finished off a modern, practical and of course 'airy' design.
This staircase fulfilled all the objectives it needed to whilst looking the part.
